If you like comedy, especially satire, you may enjoy watching spoof movies, especially when they make fun of big franchises. If you’re going to spoof the romantic comedy genre, which is ripe for parody, then spoof a couple of romcoms that actually deserve it and fall into the pitfalls of Hollywood convention. As it stands, this is tantamount to Scary Movie spoofing Scream , which was already a self-aware satire of the slasher genre. Also recently watched all 4 of the original Airplane disaster movies followed by Airplane 1 and 2, definitely some of the better parody movies. High Anxiety, spoof of suspense Hitchock movies was okay but for me Space Balls is my favourite spoof movie, so many great scenes in that. It’s one of my favourite films of all time and oft quoted (or misquoted depending on the situation). If ever anyone says ‘what do you make of this’ for example I have to try really hard not to respond with ‘Why I can make a hat, or a brooch or a pterodactyl’.
